Larks Leas Rest Home recently enjoyed celebrating the most famous patron saint – Patrick! Our overseas neighbours love to make the most of St Patrick’s Day, and it is recognised across the globe as a massive commemoration of Irish culture. It’s a fantastic occasion and the residents of our elderly care home in Blandford were excited to join in with the celebrations.
With the lounge area decked out in green bunting and plenty of shamrocks on display, everyone truly got into the spirit of the day. Entertainment was provided by a fantastic trio of local musicians, playing some popular tunes and leading the residents in a sing-a-long! The trio was briefly transformed into a quartet as Sylvia, one of our lovely residents, had the opportunity to join in and show off her amazing talent as a violinist!
It was a great day full of much fun and laughter, and the residents are already looking forward to next year’s shindig!
