It was a day to remember as the Larks Leas Rest Home residents commemorated the Platinum Jubilee with an excellent party! The home was suitably decorated and the bunting, balloons, Union flags and royal tablecloths made sure the area was truly fit for royalty. Which was fortunate given Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla decided to pay a visit!

Fortunately, the weather was in a generous mood as the clouds stayed away and the sun was shining all day – it did mean the gazebo and parasols had to work overtime to provide everybody with some valuable shade! The afternoon was a fantastic event with residents, guests and staff enjoying some delicious food and drink in the garden whilst partaking in a lively singalong courtesy of the fabulous entertainment. A huge congratulations to Her Majesty The Queen on such an unbelievable achievement, from all at our care home in Blandford.
