Larks Leas Rest Home is located close to the heart of the old market town of Blandford Forum in Dorset, noted for its Georgian architecture. Traditionally the town was an important stop over between Weymouth Port and our London capital but now some of the town’s fame can be attributed to Blandford Camp, the military base and home of the Royal Signals found 2 miles out of town. Most of the care home rooms are en suite, and nearly all enjoy views over the garden itself, with ground floor rooms having direct level access. The attractive landscaped and planted garden offers a haven of tranquility for the residents to enjoy whenever they choose.
Operated by Royal Bay Care Homes since January 2004, the Home has been substantially modernised with the addition of the luxurious purpose-built Garden Suite with its 9 single en suite rooms, all of which overlook the feature gardens.
With an oustanding reputation for care in the local community, Larks Leas Rest Home is currently run by the Registered Manager Becky Bailey with support from Deputy Shirley Williams, Team Leader Jan Simpson, as well as a team of dedicated staff with a number of relevant health care qualifications. The care home has also achieved their Gold Standards Framework accreditation (GSF). A framework for implementing improved coordination and better organisation to deliver better outcomes in line with their needs and preferences for people nearing end of life care.
Larks Leas Rest Home is part of Royal Bay Care Homes Ltd. The Group is based in West Sussex and owns a number of Care Homes in Sussex, Dorset, Northamptonshire and Worcestershire.
