Last month the residents at Larks Leas Rest Home, our care home in Blandford, enjoyed a spot of flower arranging. It was the perfect time of year for it as so many gorgeous flowers of all colours were blooming in our lovely garden. However, it wasn’t all fun and games – the residents thought it would be interesting to turn it into a competition, with a vote held afterwards to determine the best amateur florist amongst the group!
The competition was intensely contested with plenty of passion and effort exerted by the green-fingered participants. It was, of course, well-natured and a huge amount of fun was had by all! There were some truly impressive flower arrangements created by everybody involved and nobody really deserved to lose. A winner had to be crowned though, and after a democratic voting process Doreen was victorious for her bright and beautiful arrangement.
A massive well done to everyone who took part and congratulations Doreen!
