Although the festive season may be behind us, the happiness and excitement of Christmas at Larks Leas will stay with us for a long time. Christmas is always a special time at our care home in Blandford, and last year was filled with warmth and celebration. With a range of festive events stretching from December through to the new year, we ensured that there was always plenty of laughter and holiday cheer.
One of the highlights of the festive season was our Christmas party. Residents, staff, and visitors all gathered to celebrate, enjoying a fantastic performance by singer Mike Sidaway. The activities staff and managers put on an entertaining sketch that had everyone laughing, adding to the joyful atmosphere. To top it all off, Santa and his elf made a special visit, spreading holiday joy and handing out presents.
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without music, and our residential care home was alive with the sounds of the season. A joyful carol service brought everyone together, creating a magical holiday moment. Residents also had the chance to enjoy a visit to a local garden centre, where they admired the twinkling decorations and picked up a few Christmas goodies.
The magic of Christmas Day was felt throughout our home, with residents unwrapping thoughtful gifts and enjoying a delicious festive lunch prepared by our dedicated kitchen staff. Our celebrations carried on into the new year, as residents welcomed 2025 in style with a range of refreshing cocktails and mocktails.
Amidst the festive cheer, we also had the joy of birthday celebrations for some of our residents, making the season even more memorable. We are committed to making every occasion special at our rest home, and our Christmas celebrations truly showcased this dedication. As we settle into the new year, we look forward to making even more memories in 2025.
