Over the past few months, Larks Leas rest home in Blandford has been buzzing with energy as a result of our lively quiz tournament.  Residents and staff alike have been invested in the friendly rivalry between the Ladies, led by Captain Lady Sylvia, and the Lords, captained by Lord Peter.

The tournament featured a variety of themed rounds, keeping the competition fresh and exciting.  Both teams performed brilliantly, with the scores remaining close throughout.  The leadership of Peter and Sylvia inspired their teams, turning each quiz session into a memorable moment.

The grand finale was nothing short of thrilling.  First up was the care home Captain’s Mastermind round, where Sylvia and Peter went head-to-head.  Lady Sylvia showcased a deep knowledge of classical music, but Lord Peter edged ahead with his knowledge of art.  Both captains excelled in the general knowledge round, earning admiration and applause for their sharp thinking and impressive memory.

Our teams gave it their all in the exciting final quiz as laughter and camaraderie filled the room.  By the narrowest of margins – a single point – the Lords secured their win, claiming victory in style.  The joy and shared excitement throughout the tournament have been a wonderful highlight of the past few months.
