Residents at Larks Leas Rest Home were on their travels last week as they enjoyed a trip to Cranborne Garden Centre. The sun was shining and it was a lovely, warm day so the circumstances were perfect to pile into the minivan and go on a day trip! making their arrival just in time for lunch the first stop on the itinerary was a visit to the cafe for a bite to eat. A delicious menu which included an array of foods including sandwiches, salads, scotch eggs and chips was greatly enjoyed. The very generous portions meant that nobody had room for any ice cream or cake afterwards – certainly a rare occurrence!
Lunch was followed by a leisurely stroll around the garden centre, revelling in the vivid colours and gorgeous scents of the wide variety of plants and flowers. Some residents even chose some beautiful trailing plants so that they could put together some hanging baskets back home at our elderly care home in Blandford.
