Larks Leas Rest Home Partake In The Christmas Tree Trail

The residents at Larks Leas Rest Home, elderly care home in Blandford, were invited to get involved in the Christmas Tree Trail by Blandford Forum Community Church. The Christmas Tree Trail, a replacement to the annual Christmas Tree competition which unfortunately couldn’t go ahead as normal due to COVID-19, involves local organisations including traders, businesses, schools and churches decorating trees to the theme of “Comfort & Joy”, which are then displayed in various shop windows throughout town.

Activities coordinator Ellie quickly got to work and supported the residents in making some lovely creations for their tree. The level of effort was second to none and great fun was had by all. The result was a selection of marvelous handmade decorations containing positive messages encompassing feelings of comfort and joy.
It was fantastic to have the opportunity to take part in such an amazing project that the whole community is involved in. The Larks Leas Rest Home tree can be found proudly displayed in the window of Florabunda Florist Blandford, a wonderful florist right in the heart of town.
Visit the Royal Bay Facebook page for more pictures of this excellent project.
